Campaign QA Checklist

May 2026 • Campaign Operations • Data Quality

Use this checklist before launching paid media, email, partner, or lifecycle campaigns.

Summary

Campaign QA is the last checkpoint before traffic, budget, and leads start moving through the system. This checklist helps teams verify setup, URLs, landing pages, tracking, and reporting readiness so launch issues are caught before they become data problems.

Goal: catch campaign setup, tracking, landing page, and reporting problems before spend or traffic goes live.

1. Campaign Setup

  • Confirm objective, audience, geography, budget, flight dates, and owner.
  • Check naming conventions in the ad platform and internal launch tracker.
  • Confirm campaign, ad set, ad, and creative names can map to reporting dimensions.
  • Verify exclusions, frequency caps, bid strategy, and conversion event selection.

2. URL and UTM Checks

  • Confirm every live URL uses approved UTM values.
  • Open each URL and confirm redirects preserve UTM parameters.
  • Check that vanity links, short links, and partner links resolve to the correct final page.
  • Confirm no internal test parameters are left in the final URL.

3. Landing Page Checks

  • Confirm the page loads on desktop and mobile.
  • Check primary CTA, form, phone number, chat, or checkout flow.
  • Confirm privacy, consent, and required legal copy are present.
  • Review page speed, broken images, and obvious layout issues.

4. Tracking Checks

  • Trigger a test visit and conversion event.
  • Confirm analytics, ad platform pixels, tag manager, and CRM capture expected fields.
  • Check that test leads or orders are labeled so they can be excluded.
  • Confirm offline conversion upload or server-side tracking jobs are ready if used.

5. Reporting Readiness

  • Confirm the campaign appears in the dashboard or expected source table.
  • Confirm channel, product, campaign, audience, and region fields map correctly.
  • Write down the expected launch date and first reporting date.
  • Share known tracking limitations before launch, not after results are questioned.
